There is no Current Event Assignment – Recruits are encouraged to utilize this time to prepare for the Final Exam, which will be given on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Word of The Week (“WOW”) – There is no “WOW” assigned. Recruits are encouraged to utilize this time to prepare for the Final Exam, which will be given on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Notes – There are no notes due however, recruits are encouraged to study the notes taken from Deputy Hernandez’ lecture on “Radio Communication” and “Use of Force” along with all other notes from previous lectures in preparation for the Final Exam, which will be given Saturday, May 16, 2026.

As a reminder, recruits will complete their final Defense Tactics Exam commonly known as “Rock Down.” This is an opportunity for the recruits to utilize the defense tactics skills and techniques taught to them during the Academy under stressful but safe simulated scenarios commonly experienced by Law Enforcement Officers in the field. In preparation for this event, recruits are reminded to eat a good meal the night before and a nutritious breakfast the morning of the event. Hydration is important. Recruits are encouraged to hydrate throughout the week and to bring ample water the day of Rock Down.
